Suitable for natural gas, compressed air and liquids this portable ultrasonic clamp-on flowmeter can be used for a wide range of applications.  It is perfect for operational diagnosis or monitoring in most process plants and pipe distribution networks.


Unrivalled accuracy and versatility with performance accuracy up to 0.5%, measurement resolution less than 0.1 nano second and suitable flow range from 1mm  to 45 metres per second.


Ability to measure almost every pipe diameter, this portable ultrasonic clamp-on flowmeter has probes to measure from 10mm OD to 10,000mm OD. The clamp-on probes are suitable for all metallic and plastic pipes and multi-layered pipes. Not all asbestos pipes are suitable for clamp-on probes and insertion probes may be used in more difficult applications (concrete and corroding pipes).


Dual chord input enables this flowmeter to receive signals simultaneously from two sets of probes.  These can be attached to the same pipe or different pipes. This may be necessary to have two sets of probes on the same pipe to obtain an accurate result in challenging applications. The ability to monitor two separate pipelines simultaneously with one portable ultrasonic clamp-on flowmeter is extremely convenient with cost and setup time efficiencies.


Quick and easy installation in under 5 minutes. The pipe wall thickness, connection of transducers to the transmitter, entering the parameters into the transmitter and mounting the transducers can be done in under 5 minutes.


Signal quality index using echo visualisation to verify the signal quality from each chord and identify any distortions caused by electrical noise or air bubbles. The outcome of corrective actions are also verified providing the operator with the knowledge the problem has been solved.


Timed operation mode enables the battery life and data memory to be saved. In this mode the portable ultrasonic clamp-on flowmeter is only operational during user programmable time windows each day. A delayed start is another useful timer option.


Long battery life with up to 14 hours continuous use, which can be spanned over days or weeks if you only need to capture flows during a small time window each day. With an auxiliary power supply cable in the accessories list, this ultrasonic clamp-on flowmeter can be used for longer monitoring where either power or solar power is accessible.


The configuration of 11 sites can be stored in the memory. This reduces setup time when revisiting a previously surveyed site.


This flow meter has a rugged enclosure with a submersible ingress protection rating (IP68) is light weight (900g) and has a backlit LCD display. It has clearly been designed for day or night operation and to withstand most weather conditions.


Multiple connectivity options with the ability to accept two inputs from current, voltage or temperature probes.  It can  generate two current, frequency or digital outputs.  This portable ultrasonic clamp-on flowmeter is designed to interface with SMS / GPRS data loggers, telemetry and building management systems.


Internal data logger with a massive memory storing 135,000 time and date stamped readings.  This equals over 6 months data at 2 minute logging intervals. The logging interval is user programmable from 1 second to 24 hours.  The logger can store a wide range of parameters including min flow, max flow, average flow, velocity, totalised flow, delta, gain and status.  This provides an extensive summary of the flow conditions allowing the operator to have confidence in the data. With the choice of “cyclic” or “stop when the memory is full”, this portable ultrasonic flowmeter is perfect for almost all short term and long term flow investigation projects.


The UF801P is stored within a carrying bag with a charger, the cables between probes and converter, a PC cable and software.
